head of marketing
You're a hard-charging, creativity-channeling, nuts-and-bolts-implementing marketing genius. You've got experience in the academic sector (maybe you're a refugee from lab research), you love working with startups (for obvious reasons), and you’re excited about making our new product the industry standard. In other words, you're going to be Labtiva's new Head of Marketing.
Using your exemplary marketing skills, you'll help us promote and develop ReadCube, our new software application. It's designed to help scientists stay at the cutting edge of the literature in their fields, by organizing their research libraries and intuitively recommending the newest and most relevant articles.
On the job, you will:
- Spread the good word and get users!
- Build brand recognition
- Identify affiliate and referral marketing opportunities
- Manage online advertising, SEO and PPC campaigns
- Encourage organic growth via incentive schemes, community building, etc.
- Identify and communicate with enthusiastic, influential users to drive endorsement of ReadCube
- Keep tabs on market feedback; hone value proposition
- Create campaign briefs for external creative and PR agencies
- Identify KPIs and meet them; track results with web analytics and other tools
- Reach out to users via eCRM, social media, carrier pigeon, etc.
- Evangelize ReadCube and Labtiva in the scientific research community
- Work closely with the rest of the team
Education and Experience
Previous start-up experience or experience in the sciences or academia would be a huge plus.
