As a Flex developer at Labtiva, you'll help develop literature management and discovery tools for scientists worldwide. Our mission is to revolutionize the way researchers work with scientific literature.
If you’re interested in joining us, you'll have:
- Track record in developing applications in Adobe Flex/AIR frameworks - please provide links to/ or samples of your work
- Strong experience with RIA development
- Thorough understanding of object oriented programming, data structures, design and access patterns (including MVC)
- Excellent communication skills
The candidate we’re looking for is:
- Obsessed with creating beautiful, intuitive, and immersive user experiences for the web and desktop
- Comfortable working with large existing codebases as well as architecting new projects from scratch
- Able to work within tight time lines and deliver above expectations
- Able to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced agile environment, delivering solutions often in terms of hours/days
- Excited to work on a small team in a start-up environment
The ideal candidate would also have:
- Prior start-up or freelancing experience
- The athleticism to sprint 100 meters in under 10 seconds (just kidding)

We are funded and backed by an industry leader.
Our product is a research management tool for scientific and academic literature. It comprises both a desktop application as well as an advanced cloud-based web application. The product we're working on is awesome. And we genuinely believe it has the potential to change the way researchers work with scientific literature.
